Reggae lovers, rejoice — Chronixx is officially back. After nearly a decade away from the spotlight, the Spanish Town native has begun rolling out his long-awaited sophomore album, Exile, marking a powerful return for one of modern reggae’s most soulful voices.

The album quietly dropped in select regions — including Japan, New Zealand, and Australia — on October 10, which also happens to be Chronixx’s 33rd birthday. While fans in other parts of the world are still waiting on a wider release date, the buzz online is undeniable: Exile is here, and the king of conscious reggae is back in his groove.
Exile: The Next Chapter
Exile serves as Chronixx’s first full-length release since Chronology in 2017 — an album that earned him Grammy attention and cemented his place among reggae’s new-generation icons. The wait has been long, but intentional. As the singer reminded fans last year on social media, creativity can’t be forced:
“You can’t rush creativity,” he wrote — a statement that clearly shaped the new project.
17 Tracks, One Vision
The new album features 17 tracks, blending deep roots reggae with Chronixx’s signature introspection and sonic experimentation. Among them are standout titles like:
Exile
Market
Sweet Argument
Survivor
Family First
I Know What You Feeling
Saviour
Keep On Rising
Genesis
Never Give Up
Pain In Your Heart
Resilient
Scheming
Love Is on the Mountainand two early fan favorites — Hurricane (track 9) and Don’t Be Afraid (track 11).
Chronixx first teased Don’t Be Afraid earlier this year at the Reggae Land Festival in the U.K., telling fans at Milton Keynes National Bowl:
“This is called Don’t Be Afraid from the upcoming album Exile — coming this 2025, believe it or not.”
And believe it, we do — because the wait is finally over.
The Return of a Reggae Visionary
Known for modern classics like Skankin’ Sweet and Here Comes Trouble, Chronixx has always balanced consciousness with charisma. His reemergence signals not just a return to music, but a deeper creative rebirth — one that fans around the world have been waiting years to witness.
As the rollout for Exile continues, one thing is clear: Chronixx is back to reclaim his space — and the reggae world is ready.
