Big win for community & @b.a.c.e.basketball Blogged by @photosbydeeky We are immensely proud to share this monumental achievement! Since 1986, B.A.C.E. has been at the forefront of advocating for community control of Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, NY . .
Our mission was —ensuring this vital cultural and recreational space remains a beacon of Black heritage and empowerment. .
After decades of perseverance, an agreement has finally been reached between SQPA and the NYC Parks Department, solidifying a future where the park continues to serve and uplift our community. .
This victory is a testament to the power of advocacy, unity, and unwavering dedication. The future of Roy Wilkins Park is bright, and we remain committed to preserving its legacy for generations to come! -
