A’Legends CEO Announces Early Development of Children’s App and Celebrates Diaspora Excellence Award

New Jersey, USA – September 2025 – Creative entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist Jenelle Alexia, founder of the global lifestyle brand A’Legends, continues to shine on international stages. She was recently honored with the Diaspora Excellence Award for her outstanding impact in fashion, creative entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment through philanthropy and community service at the Rediscover Africa 2025 Gala and Awards, held in New Jersey on September 13, following the event’s rescheduled date.

In addition to receiving this prestigious recognition, Alexia was selected as part of the hosting team for the evening, showcasing her versatility and media presence. She hosted the red carpet and co-hosted the award ceremony and gala, representing the diaspora with elegance, confidence, and charisma. Alexia shared, “I am a proud product of my Jamaican roots and grateful to be recognized not only with this award but also with the honor of hosting both the red carpet and the ceremony.”
Beyond the stage, Alexia has made strides in film, starring alongside Charmaine Fenton and dancehall legend Spragga Benz in Unbelievable, directed by Cleon James. The film has been officially selected for the Wilmington, Delaware Caribbean Film Festival and will screen on October 11, 2025.
Looking ahead, Alexia is expanding her children’s literacy initiatives into the digital space. She has begun development of a children’s app based on her book series Keira and Jaime, featuring interactive learning experiences and a collaboration song with reggae/dancehall artist Navino. The app is designed to inspire courage, confidence, and healthy activity, showing children that they can achieve anything if they follow their dreams and believe in themselves.
