Big news reggae fam! The highly-anticipated Rebel Salute USA debut, which was set to blaze up Miramar Regional Park, South Florida on September 28, has officially been postponed. But don’t stress—it’s not canceled! The new date is locked in for April 26, 2026. 🌴🔥

According to the organizers, the main reason for the pushback was the threat of severe weather. Safety first, right?

Founder Tony Rebel shared that the move is all about protecting the fans and maintaining the high standard Rebel Salute has carried for more than 30 years.

“This is not a cancellation, it’s a commitment to our fans, our artistes, and our legacy. Rebel Salute has never compromised on quality or care,” Tony Rebel said in his statement. 🙌🏾

The lineup was STACKED: Maxi Priest, Mykal Rose, Mikey Spice, Louie Culture, LUST, Chalice, and of course, Queen Ifrica—who actually withdrew just a few days before the show, citing that terms of her agreement weren’t met. 👀

For those who don’t know, Rebel Salute isn’t just any reggae event. Launched on January 15, 1994 (yep, Tony Rebel’s birthday 🎂) in Manchester, Jamaica, the festival has since grown into one of the world’s leading roots-reggae celebrations. These days, it’s held in St Ann, Jamaica, drawing fans from every corner of the globe.

And just to sweeten the vibes—Miramar Regional Park is still the go-to spot for Caribbean culture, as the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival is set to take over the space on November 9, 2025.

So reggae lovers, mark your calendars and keep the fire burning till April—Rebel Salute USA is still on the way, just a little fashionably late. ✨🇯🇲
