The false deed theft claims are really getting out of hand, but the community refuses to fold and continues standing firmly behind Crown Hill Theater.
Crown Hill Theater has become a landmark in Brooklyn, representing culture, purpose, and growth within the community. But lately, the unit’s owner has been harassed, defamed, and publicly ridiculed over allegations that are completely false.
Every accusation being made against Peter and his occupancy at Crown Hill Theater is untrue. And the interesting part is, there are documents, receipts, and proof available to back that up.
A radical individual has repeatedly shown up outside the venue during events, spreading accusations across social media and even collecting donations from supporters under claims of “deed theft.” Let’s be clear: deed theft is a real issue happening in Brooklyn and across the world, and innocent families have truly suffered from it. But what happened with Crown Hill Theater is not a deed theft situation.
This is simply a case of misinformation and a refusal to accept the facts.
Peter does not own Crown Hill Theater. He leases the space. The property owners did not steal the building, and public records are available to confirm that. The information is there for anyone willing to investigate honestly and look at the facts instead of spreading narratives.
It is disappointing to see organizations and individuals using this situation one that is actively damaging lives as an opportunity to attack a Black man who has continuously contributed to the Brooklyn community in positive ways.
