Media maven and dancehall darling Press Kay is stepping into a brand-new spotlight... the big screen. The popular host and recording artist just landed her very first movie role in the upcoming faith-based drama Redeemed, and she’s beyond excited about this next chapter in her creative journey.

Produced by Jamaica-born, US-based filmmaker Jacinth Headlam alongside Pastor Otis Manning, Redeemed tells a powerful story of resilience, transformation, and redemption. The film features a star-studded cast that blends Jamaican flair with Hollywood firepower including Safaree, Malik Yoba, Cornelius Grant, Prince Saj, and comedic sensation Julie Mango.

Press Kay, whose real name is Kaylia Williams, plays the role of a TV news anchor a perfect fit for someone who’s already made her mark in front of the camera. Acting and singing have always been her passions, but time and opportunity hadn’t aligned until she connected with Headlam during the premiere of Love After Holidays. That conversation reignited her drive to pursue her long-time dream and reminded her that anything is possible with focus and determination.

A few months later, she auditioned for Redeemed and landed the role. The experience opened new doors and allowed her to share the set with international talent like Malik Yoba, whose professionalism and encouragement inspired everyone involved.

Before her on-screen debut, Press Kay honed her skills through the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) and the Jamaica Youth Theatre, under the mentorship of the late playwright Aston Cooke. Those early experiences laid a strong foundation for her artistry, discipline, and confidence.

Now, with her film debut complete, Press Kay is actively exploring new acting opportunities and embracing Jamaica’s growing film scene. She believes this is the perfect moment for creatives to take bold steps and bring more local stories to the world.

Her message to other aspiring talents is simple, believe in yourself, stay confident, keep working hard, and use feedback to grow.

From music to media and now movies, Press Kay continues to prove she’s a woman of many talents — fearless, focused, and ready to shine wherever her journey takes her next.
