Brooklyn came outside to celebrate one of its own as Angela Yee Day 2026 brought music, culture, community and plenty of hometown energy to Barclays Center on Sunday, August 23.

The seventh annual celebration, hosted by media personality Angela Yee in partnership with the Social Justice Fund, was free and open to the community. The event ran from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Barclays Center Plaza and featured live entertainment, community activities, giveaways, free hair braiding and other family-focused resources.
The Caribbean Came Through
The 2026 lineup was packed with Caribbean talent.
Ding Dong, Cham and Vanessa Bling represented Jamaica’s dancehall scene, bringing some of the genre’s recognizable energy to the Brooklyn celebration.
Lyrikal represented Trinidad and Tobago’s soca tradition, while Mickael Marabou, a Haitian-American singer, and Zion deLion, an Afro-Caribbean artist, added even more Caribbean representation to the afternoon.

The DJs Kept the Party Moving The music wasn’t limited to the live performers.
The official lineup also included DJ Norie, DJ Danglez, DJ Whutever and Nick Seale, keeping the crowd moving throughout the afternoon.
Jenn Carter and TINA Join the Celebration
The lineup grew even bigger with the addition of Jenn Carter and TINA.
Power 105.1 announced that both artists had officially been added to the Angela Yee Day 2026 lineup shortly before the celebration. TINA is the artist formerly known as HoodCelebrityy.
Angela Yee Day is about much more than putting artists on a stage.
The 2026 celebration included free hair braiding, games, giveaways, local community activities, family entertainment and free backpacks, continuing Yee’s annual tradition of giving back to the community.
The event was presented in partnership with the Social Justice Fund, with additional community and corporate partners supporting the day’s activities.
That community focus is central to the meaning of Yee Day.
Angela Yee has spoken about wanting the annual celebration to be a way of giving back. The event has grown into a signature Brooklyn community gathering where entertainment and service come together.
