QUEENS, NEW YORK — August 29, 2026 — What began as a 14-day assignment quickly became a full-scale mission for Team AskBlondieTV.com: bring The Crowning of Anthony B to life.

With only 14 days to execute, the team went straight to work. From coordinating media and the event lineup to adding an additional artist to the bill, the goal was simple — make sure a living reggae legend received the celebration he deserved.

The Crowning of Anthony B ultimately became more than a concert. It was a gathering of reggae and dancehall personalities, performers, supporters and members of the Caribbean community who came together to celebrate an artist whose career has made a lasting impact on the culture.

The turnout may not have reached the level originally anticipated. There were numerous events taking place across New York City that same night, and the venue itself may have played a role. But the people who walked through the doors came ready to enjoy themselves — and they brought the energy with them.

The room was also filled with familiar faces and respected names from the culture, including Beenie Man, DJ Roy, and host Fatta Diamond, who kept the energy moving throughout the evening.
