Our  Women History Month Celebration Continues With A Q&A  With Beautiful & Multi Talented Jenelle Alexia, also known as Lexi Bankx

Q: Who or what is your inspiration in all your endeavors?

My dad is my biggest inspiration. Growing up, he always told everyone that I was his superstar, so that belief was embedded in me from a very early age. Every summer when I visited him in Jamaica, he would drop the top on his BMW and literally broadcast me to the entire Kencot community, proudly saying his “foreign daughter” was there. He would set up random photoshoots for me and constantly remind me that I was destined for greatness.

Even after his passing, that motivation never left me. It actually pushes me even more because I want to become everything he always said I would be. Now, my son A’Legends carries that same energy he proudly tells people his mom is an author and makes music. Between my father and my son, I’m constantly reminded to keep going, even through challenges.

Q: Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Five years from now, I see myself as a fully established brand across all areas. A’Legends is already growing, but I know there’s still more work to be done as I continue expanding in music, fashion, and publishing. The goal is to be operating at a global level across all platforms.

Q: Are you planning on releasing a new book anytime soon?

Yes, my upcoming release Keira and Jaime Discover Hurricane Melissa is scheduled to be released by May 2026.

Q: What would you tell your 15-year-old self?

At 15, I was very active and focused I was involved in reading, performing arts, and student leadership. I would tell my younger self to be mindful that not everyone is your friend. That’s something I’m still learning and mastering even now.

Q: Do you have any regrets in life?

I wouldn’t say I have regrets, but I have learned lessons especially when it comes to trusting certain people. However, without those experiences, I wouldn’t have the knowledge and growth I have today. So in a way, I’m still thankful for those moments.

Q: What does Women’s History Month mean to you?

Women’s History Month means honoring the strength, resilience, and impact of women who continue to push forward despite challenges. For me, it’s personal it’s about being a mother, a creator, and a woman building a legacy across multiple spaces.

It’s also why projects like “Queen” matter to me. Producing that record was about celebrating women not just for how they look, but for who they are and what they represent. Women inspire others every day both knowingly and unknowingly and that influence is powerful enough to shape generations.
