23-Year-Old Chyna Hickman Killed in Dispute Over $15 Beauty Service Deposit;

Community Mourns Young Mother-to-Be

A heartbreaking tragedy has shaken the Mobile, Alabama community after 23-year-old Chyna Hickman was shot and killed during what authorities describe as a dispute connected to a beauty service transaction.

According to police and local reports, Hickman was killed on July 10 on Anders Drive in Mobile. Authorities say the disagreement involved a customer-service dispute over a lash purchase or service deposit. Reports indicate the amount involved was a $15 deposit.

Hickman’s death has left family, friends, and community members devastated. Loved ones gathered for a candlelight vigil to honor her life and remember the young woman described by those who knew her as caring, strong, and full of life.

Authorities arrested Kanedrea Davis in connection with the shooting. Prosecutors later upgraded the charge to capital murder, and officials said bond was denied during a hearing.

The tragedy has sparked conversations about conflict resolution and the importance of preventing disagreements from escalating into violence. A dispute over a small amount of money or a business transaction should never end with a life being taken.

As the investigation continues, the Mobile community continues to remember Chyna Hickman and support those mourning her loss.
